intake manifold
intake manifold
I've done a few searches in here but I haven't found a thread about this.
Has any one here done this kind of work to their car?
To turn the intake manifold arround 180' wil shorten the overal length of the fmic pipes and you will also get much better airflow to the engine.
Tests has shown that this wil increase the HP considrably. On my set up (se pic),before and after I turned the intake arround,36BHP was gained...
Click on PureRacing gallery, then on PureRacing Forester.

if you take a look at the members cars in the gallery EVERY car has turned the intake arround. This is common to do if you want to get the extra power it brings. This mod is PureRacings speciallity and it works great.
There is one pic in the members gallery of a car with stock intake.Look at the extra bends and length (restrictions) the air has to go thru...

If you have an fmic yes..no need if you have the tmic.
logic.
Tmics have restrictions on airflow and capacity to cool the air when you go for big turbo setups.
When you go for fmic do the work on the inlet aswell.
I guarantee gain in bhp and torque.
Just try it and run the car on a dyno.
