do you have your stockers Pat? I'd like to take a look at the injector and see how easy it'd be to do (i like dremeling, ... and I'm good at it too! )

I think with the UTEC you could use the modded stocks without any problems.

San,

From that Kingpin Forum website:

NO cars using these turbos "need" these injectors on a 2.0 ltr in street tune.

Stock turbo
Any form of a modified stock turbo

That's pretty much in black and white. So why on earth are my IDC's so high? Mine are very high, but for even 90% IDCs, TXS didn't seem concerned when I was corresponding with them a long time ago about it.

Didn't I read

you can actually go over 100% IDC? Seems I did. I'll talk to Kingpin, as I have no d@mmnned idea what I'm going to do for engine management.

In actuality/the real world you can't hang anything open for more than 100% of it's duty cycle - but as a calculated value you can see over 100% reported. Either way just approaching 100% is not good for the injector (or your state of tune).

I'd be leery or someone that says you don't need anything more than a stock unmodified injector for a WRX with an upgraded turbo and exhaust...

From what Pat quoted though, it looks like he's saying that the stock MODIFIED injectors are enough for the turbos he listed, right?

Here's the Kingpin forum thread reference.

I believe I posted it out of context. I think he's saying that NO cars [that I posted] need the modified stocker 740s.

I think the key word here is need, ... as in should need
Pat, you can run 740 injectors since you have the ability to tune, ... so I think you should bring over your stockers to Mike's on Sunday and I'll mod them for ya!

Yeah, but you wouldn't dream of modifying a part on your car, would you?

Sorry,

I had posted this info in this forum, and in my regional forum (Hawaii), so now there are two threads (in the same forum) with the same info.
