hi new here i dont drive a scooby i drive a s14 (240sx), well i came here to ask a some questions on IHI turbos on 2 really the VF30 and VF22, well us nissan tuners are dumb founded by IHI turbos we dont know anything about them, but i want to build my turbo kit w/ a IHI turbo, i heard from rx7 owners and honda owners they spool really fast are all IHI turbos ball bearing and do you think they will work good w/ a 2.4L?? im leaning towards the VF22 but from my searching it lags and the VF33 doesnt, also what flange does it use and wheres the best price to get the turbos at the only place i found is http://www.gruppe-s.com/ thanks
Your 2.4L engine is totally different then a 2.0L that the WRX has. So a VF22 may not lag at all, as your engine moves more air.
The crappy part of a VF22 is that it's old. It's one of the older IHI turbo's. Perhaps look at a VF3x series, a VF23, or even a hybrid turbo from iON Performance who takes the stock WRX turbo and rebuilds it to make it pretty close if not better(in some circumstances) then a VF30.

www.turbometrics.com has great prices too on IHI turbo's.
I have no clue what kind of flange IHI uses. I'm so used to seeing garrett flanges, I never here about IHI.
As far as manifold, I dont see why you couldn't, but ideally you want an equal length one for the most power.

I would go to a nissan forum and see if anyone has done this. They would probably be better equipped to help you than us. As for the flange issue, you could always buy a stock WRX up-pipe and down-pipe, cut off the flanges and weld them onto your down-pipe/up-pipe. As I am not really familiar with the SIL's I'm not sure what other issues you may run into. Your best bet would be to take your car to a good performance garage that does custom work like this.

Frist off you need to get off of the the vf-series of turbos. They are only for subarus. The vf designation is refering to the housing that is subaru specfic.i.e it matchs our uppipe and down pipe.
You can get a RHF5HB vf-22 for a subaru or you could get a RHF5HB vj-22 for a ford probe.that is just an example. You acn get the same performance of a vf series turbo with out having to customize everything.Clikc the link to understand what I am saying.http://www.gikturbo.se/prislistor/latta.pdf
