I currently have gutted uppipe, replace the downpipe after turbo and stock last

cat and a cat back exhaust, IC hose, I hit 15psi on 1-3 gears pull with some boost

spike, but on 4 th and 5 th gear when I floor it past 5000rpm, the boost just

keeping going up and hit 18psi+( fuel cut) , anyone know if thats an wastegate

issues ?oR something else ? BTW it was in cold weather under 7 degress.

 

Do you have any boost control other than stock stuff?

 

ive hit 27lbs on the stock turbo


take off the turbo and grind around the wastegate........ have a pro do it

 

NO boost controller . never had one . its hitting 19 yesterday ..lol ..... anyone know what to do . ? or sth that a boost controller can be fix or . its my wastegate

27 lbs of boost on the stock turbo .... maybe .. i sure hope you had some internals tho . cause that open deck aint gonna handle that .. no way in hell

 

I don't think you could get 27lbs on a stock turbo. From what I'm told they peak at 18.

 

Yup. If it keep going over 18 psi then your stock turbo is not gonna last that long.

 

i've gone over 18 psi .. actually over 21 psi .. 1.5 mpa on the stock turbo and all i have is upand down pipe, cat back, and lightened crank pulley. im not saying that the turbo will last at 27 psi .. im just saying can be boosted to that amount .. if you tweak with the wastegate a lil .. it's a stupid idea to have it run like that .. and you probably wont be able to go open throttle on the freeway . but hey you get quick *** spools lol

uh, i spiked 25 psi on the stock turbo as well... damn mbc was on upside down... lol

 

I've have the same mods as he has and I've done the 3/16 mod as well. I'm starting to get boost spike 18 psi in 2nd+ 3rd.
I didn't touch the wastegate arm, and it started after I installed an up pipe, the turbo back was installed first

I'm getting a little worried about it
I'm going to try a smaller "T"

 

After I installed my up and down pipes, I would spike to about 18psi. I had my car tuned and it has never done it since.
