how to increase low end power?
I am just wondering how I can increase my power thru the lower rpms before the turbo kicks in. I am getting a header but thats mid and top end. will pulleys help, i asking about bolt ons i dont want to mess with the internals just yet.

An up pipe, lightning the rotational mass will get the engine spinin quicker. Look at parts that give you the most torque. Torque is from 0 to movin, so somthing that gives you more torque is what your lookin for.

Lighter weight wheel/tire combination will help in that area, too. Each one acts as a flywheel and the heavier it is, the more it resists acceleration.
We have what amounts to a low-compression engine that is probably outperformed by the 2.5 RS until boost starts to come on.
Things like intercooler hoses and underdrive pulleys might give a very slight increase. A turbo back exhaust should be noticeable. For reasonable money Deadbolt will polish your stock TD04 to improve the onset of boost and slightly improve overall efficiency, according to them.

Unfortunately, there's really no good substitute for cubic inches for low-end torque.
The WRX is patterned after a rallye car and it's real fun comes from the power in the middle RPM range and pretty good handling.
You can help it some, but below about 2K it's really a modestly powered 2 liter.

If you take a look at GFB's website, you'll find that their boost controller tremendously helped out the lower rpm range of the power band. This is because of the boost the car receives at a way earlier time. GFB....look under boost controller

Even an MBC can give much improved boost at lower RPM. Just keep an eye on the boost gauge for the the part-throttle/full boost condition. This can occur with both an EBC and an MBC. I don't think this will happen in every driving situation, just at certain times. If I had to guess, it would be climbing grades at part-throttle. If the throttle position sensor doesn't see at least a certain percentage of throttle opening, it'll not go to full (stock) enrichment leading to a lean condition. The now-defunct Boost Monkey and the Vishnu EMI Adapter took care of that situation but these are now 'old' ways of engine management.
