I don't think it is a waste of money if you're on a tight budget. They do provide more hp can be a good value to the person on a budget. Just like me. And plus you can make the pipe like the Stromug downpipe or however you spell it pretty easily for around $50 to $70 i hear. That said, IMO the HKS is not as horrible as everyone says.

i havent heard much about the hks uppipe, but the dp isnt the greatest. it may not be a waste of money, but it doesnt perform as well as the other dp's with a bell mouth design. it does get rid of the two cats, and has a 3in diameter, and probably smoother than the stock dp, so im sure it gives performance gains.

Hey Vic, on the other thread u were sort of "agreeing" with the other guy that it doesn't replace the stock midpipe and now you're saying it gets rid of the last cat?

I've heard a lot of negative things about the hks downpipe. i'd probably stay away from it.
