I'm not sure about fitment, but you might want to consider the fact that the HKS DP does not have a wide bellmouth design (i.e. you will have more restrictive airflow).

Yeah, don't go with a trusty JDM brand. Get something that was made in Laos out of old recycled Soviet tanks.
There are no fitment issues with either DP or the UP. The UP fits wonderfully without flex. That is because it is a quality product.
The DP is ok. Yes, it is not the best downpipe you can get, but for ~$200 (MSRP) you cannot complain. The quality of it is still superb. It is a nice budget downpipe that fits and works. Yes, people that are looking for 260+hp should get something else, but as basic bolt on upgrade, HKS downpipe will work great.

could someone please tell me why everyone doesnt like the hks downpipe, because everyone talks smack about it but doesnt say why. hks is probable the most trusted jdm aftermarket company and makes by far nearly the best jdm aftermarket products so why does everyone not like this product.

Like alex said, the quality of the HKS product is very good, the only drawback is the flange is not as good as some of the other downpipes out there. It is a 2 1/2" design instead of the normal 3" design like the majority of the other downpipes out there IIRC
but for $200, you cannot go wrong if you are on a budget.

Most aftermarket companies use a bellmouth or a twindump opening for their downpipe. HKS does not. Ive also heard of fitment issues but if it works for most people thats cool too. I will admit it is pretty cheap.

I have installed over 30 HKS up and downpipes. Not once had I have any fitment issues. And, I do not run these parts myself. I personally prefer CUSCO downpipe, but it 2x more expensive than the HKS downpipe.
However, I would choose that HKS downpipe over an ACME knock-off product.
Once again, for $200, you get a JDM brand product. Also, if for whatever reason your HKS product doesn't fit or breaks, they carry a warranty.

I just installed HKS DP and Hiper Silent on my car.No fitment issues there either.
If you dont like the opening on the DP just get it fixed at a place that welds. No problem :-)
