the hks downpipe is good if your not modding after getting it. If you plan to mod more and get more performance it will be a bottleneck for your car. Just not that much flow from it.

I used to think the HKS unit was a bad piece... well, I still
don't like the fact it does not have a flex, but when mated
to the HKS carbon exhaust which has a built in flex it
makes a full 3" system. Other downpipes like the PDE
use the factory flex. Good, BUT you get a 2.25" bottle neck
where the donut attaches.

ANYHOW, my point is/was: I have a friend running the HKS
downpipe with the Greddy turbo, and he's putting down
over 290 to the wheels on 91 pump gas. I'd say the downpipe
does just fine, he has no spiking or creeping issues.

Yeah, and he'd be putting down about 320 HP with a real downpipe. What dyno was that on BTW?

well, here is my suggestion. the turboXS piece is beautiful. i JUST got it in the mail!! notice the FAT 4" bell mouth. look up a pic of the HKS one its SKINNY

like DUB WRX said, you want a bell mouth design or a divorced waste gate design.

i love this pipe. i just may sleep with it tonight.

and yeah Steppin Razor, i would have had results VERY soon, however as you can see by my other post, the vendor sent only the pipes and NO gaskets or hardware.. pushing my install back...
