Help w/up-pipe install?

Is there a way to get the up-pipe out without haveing to remove IC and turbo. I can see where I could remove a part of the exhaust manifold right below the pipe. Has anyone ever done it by removeing this piece? If not, can some body walk me through IC removal and turbo removal. Also, any negative to not reinstalling the heat shields? Thanks

Try ScoobyMods.com. Do not leave the heat shields off of the uppipe or the turbo. They provide important isolation of the exhaust heat radiating from these components. Without them, you will experience greater heat soak to your intercooler while the car is not moving.
