Hey everybody-
Ok really strange... last night my car cracked out. I was at a stop light and suddenly my RPM's jumped to 2,000 rpm and idled there for a second or two before the car threw a CEL. Have any of you guys had this happen to you? also I disconnected the battery and restrated the car to check the CEL this morning and the CEL is gone. Can anybody shed some light on this problem.

Not sure what caused that to happen but If I were you I would have the code pulled then find out what the code is for here https://www.i-club.com/forums/engine-power-ej20t-pre-2006-wrx-jdm-60/complete-list-all-subaru-obd2-error-codes-44311/. I have heard Autozone will check for codes for free.
