help! Blitz bov problem

ok I installed my blitz bov in my 04 wrx, but the problem is when I drive I can barley hear the bov. It sounds muffled I bought the bov used, It doesn't seem to leak boost, but i'm just irritated cause I can't hear the bov, unless I drive it really hard. then it's a quick psh not even a pshhhhh. Please Blitz bov owners help a fellow suby owner. thanks
Raymund

i bought the blitz bov for my 04 new. after a while it was having the problems u seem to be having. it needs to be cleaned. just undo the top 4 screws and the top pops off. get a rag with a lil bit of cleaner and clear it out. mine works like new again

Unhappy

ok so I bought some wd40 and sprayed inside my bov and used that to clean the inside. I dunno my bov is still pretty quite though. Like it won't go off until 5k rpm. and when it goes off it's hardly noticable...Annoyed

oh yeah and for those of you who plan on opening up your blitz bov, be careful, cause the top will pop...Since there is a long spring inside that just wants to pop out.

What I did is buy a new (softer) spring from Blitz. Now mine opens up even at 2k, & normal cruising!
