gutting factory uppipe?
I did a search and I can't find a good thread on doing this myself. I have a friend loaning me his old uppide so I want to gut it out and then put it in.
I remember reading a thread with lots of pics and details.
Does anyone know where to find this thread?
Or perhaps someone can give me some tips on how to do a good job gutting the pipe and which tools I will need?
Thanks!

try scoobymods.com... goodluck. its time consuming but not terribly difficult. you need a drill, nice drill bit, and a hammer... and screwdriver. drill into te cat and make many holes in it...then beat it out with a hammer and screwdriver

i say just get a aftermarket up pipe . . . save you time and hassle. plus installing it can be a pain and a aftermarket one isnt noticable to the untrained eye [cops] you might not wanna gut a stock one because bits of the cat might eventually shoot into your turbo damaging it. so do yourself a favor and just buy a aftermarket one. they are SUPER cheap anyways . . .
