I gutted the cat from my uppipe and think i may have a leak now, it sounds differetn, like an echo.

has anyone experienced thid or do i have a leak, its hard to tell. I used an bad a** air chisel to gut it and dont know if i pounded a hole in it. i really dont want to take that off again.

 

You may be hearing the exhaust bouncing (cavitating?) around in the gutted cat. I don't know how big the cat shell is, I'm assuming not huge, but bigger than the pipes leading into and out of it, yeah?

Turbulence... oh, and I hope you didn't get any of that cat crap on you. Carcinogenic, you know? i.e.-don't eat it, drink it, rub it in your eyes.

 

You are hearing the turbo whine, enjoy it. I have gutted uppipe and catted Perrin DP with the stock axle back and can hear the turbo spool. Love the sound.
