Arrow Green high performance air filters?

I know this subject has been covered before but,
I am wondering if anyone has any insight on the
Green air filters? Do they really flow and filter better than
K/N air filters or just as good? It's time for me to replace
my air filter when I change my motor oil next week and I would
like to know what you guys think about them?
Everyone I have talked to about Green air filters said they
were really good and they would buy one for there vehicles.

Seeing how not alot of folks run these air filters
and the fact that they will not fit in the factory
air box without cutting them.I decided to just get
a K/N drop in air filter instead and I am happy with it.

idk exactly...

but the K&N filters also use oil to stop crap, subaru filters are dry, much better for safety reasons... no oil going into ur turbo

IIRC the concern is more that the oil will gum up the MAF.

yes the k&n or any oil based filter will eventually dirty up the MAF
I ran the Blitz drop in fro yr 1/2 with no problems

Well today I bought and installed my genuine Subaru
air filter today.Seems to perform the same as with the K/N
air filter. My MAF is fine and not gummed up fortunately.

Factory Subaru air filter flows better than K&N because it has more surface area (easily calculated by the number of pleats). The K&N filter cannot match this because the gauze and mesh construction is too thick to construct a filter with the same number of pleats that fits within the confines of the stock air box. I would stick with a non-oiled filter element for a Subaru. Over time, the K&N will tend to leave a fine oily film on the MAF sensor, leading to sensor errors and subsequent ECU adjustment of air/fuel ratio. MAF sensor can be carefully cleaned by hand but why go through the trouble for no power gain?

Concerning the K&N drop-in panel filter vs the OEM paper pleated filter element, Paul@DBTuned verified a slight loss on his AWD dyno. Shiv at Vishnu Performance found the same results in testing on his dyno.
