Greddy BOV

My brother in-law purchase a 05 wrx a while back and is now planning to install a BOV. He’s planning on getting a Greddy BOV. My question is does the Greddy BOV bolt right on like the HKS, with no adapter plate or modification? The one I have on my WRX is the HKS and it just bolts right on. If you have photos of the greddy bov install on your wrx please post a picture for us. Thank you.

The re-circulating Greddy BOV has an adapter plate and it is not just a "bolt on" like other BOVs. You have to take off the TMIC and install the 10 inches of piping(comes with BOV kit) that goes from the turbo compresor to the BOV itself. Some modification will be needed on the factory hose to make the piping fit in place. There is a bit more details but I can't really remember the rest, you could always choose not to get a BOV, it really isn't a necessity for our Subarus, if anything the result of installing a BOV will do more damage than good unless your going for the bling rather than performance.

Don't get a BOV! If you just take off the snorkel(air silencer) inside the fender well you will hear the stock BOV just fine as well as the turbo spooling up. It doesn't cost you a thing and an easy alternative to buying a crappy after market BOV.

Guys, please use i-Club's Private Messages for private party transactions outside of the Classifieds forums, thanks.
