Going to be changing coolant soon, got questions

I will be flushing my coolant soon in the wrx.
I heard that the coolant should not contain sylicate.
Any reccomendations of coolant type? Otherwise i am going to get the coolant through my dealer.

I've just changed mine today. Because I'm changing my radiator, the old radiator was leaking. And as coolant I'm using the Peak GlobalMax or something, the bottle color is gold and I bought at CarQuest. It says it is compatible with all domestic and foreign vehicle year 2000 and up, I check the owners manual for the specific coolant type and could not found any. I hope this info is usefull to you.

I would find out what the dealer uses. And then flush it all out and clean it by running water through it. Then when its all clean, fill it up with half water, half coolant

I hear NPG+ is the stuff - but it's quite costly.

The Peak line of coolants do not contain silicates and are safe for our cars.

You can get Subaru coolant at subaruparts.com. I imagine you can get something similar at the dealer or autoparts store, but I just wanted to be consistent.

Did ya buy the coolant yet? I still have a jug of un-opened Subaru OEM coolant that I bought from the dealer when I changed my coolant. don't ask me why I bought two jugs but I did. If I still have it you are welcome to use it. Only thing is that I won't be back in the bay till friday June 11th. Let me know.

Oh and you know you've drunk too much when it's 7:40 am and you still feel buzzed and your last drink was at 1am.
