GFB 50/50 vs full atmospheric

I know everyone recommends at 50/50, but are there any serious damage that could happen if I run a full atmospheric BOV?
My current mods are:
HKS downpipe
3" pipe from DP to axle-back
2.5" axle-back (I know it's bottle necked, but I'm fixing it soon)
Buddy club exhaust
dual stage MBC
Blitz LM intake
Thanks

I have read on other threads that BOV on 100% atmospheric will cause you to run lean during shifting. Running lean could cause detonation which can be really bad.

The only point of a BOV on a WRX IMO is to make noise and doesn't gain you any performance. I really like the sound they make but can justify the $ for just sound.

Hope this helps a litte

Hey I have been running mine on 100% since I first got it soooooooooooooooo long ago and I have never had any problems out of it! One of the main things that GFB tried to do when designing any of their BOVs was to make sure that you didn't run into the common problems of running lean or back firing that you hear about a lot of the other brands of BOVs. GFB is one of the best out there and you won't do any damage to your car from running 100%. I mean think about it...why would GFB take the risk of giving you that option if it would potentially damage your car?? They wouldn't....those Aussies are light years ahead of the competition!!

And the sound is better too....which leads to a lot of head turns!! Which that is priceless....like one of those Visa commercials....lol.

I hope this helps!!

isnt it the opposite? BOV's cause u to run rich during shifts because the air is vented out. anyways, i had a GFB hybrid for a year at full vent and had no problems. well, except the time that some kid got scared and fell down when i drove past him.

Kid fell down when you drove past him....LMAO!! Heck yeah now that is what I am talking about!!

That is what in Visa commercial terms would call "Priceless"!!

Thanks for sharing!

Oh and you are correct....you do run a tad rich for like a spilt second in which is not enough time to notice at all!
