I was driving this morning and notice smell of gasoline in the cabin. I had my AC on. Is there a problem?? Just wanna know. Car is approach 60K. Modded Stage 2. Thx!

 

If only you had written "GAS smell in cabin", one of us could have claimed responsibility!

Was the smell coming out of the vents? And did it start at the same time as when you turned on the AC, or was while the AC had been running for a bit?

 

have you recently installed anything? a new fuel filter, fuel pump maybe? Can you check in the backseat, see if it smells back there. Hopefully you don't have a leak.

 

i don't believe that the 04 were subject to the fuel leaks that the 02's were. u might want to check your fuel lines under the intake manifold. did you install a fuel rail or anything like that?

 

It is possible that one of the hoses coming from the
fuel filter came loose and is causing the smell.It happened
to me once check for a gasoline leak.
