Fuel Pump questions...

I'm not sure if this belongs in this forum...mods please move to the right one if so.

All of this takes place on the fuel pump in the trunk compartment.

I'm planning to do a fuel pump kill switch on MY02 and I was wondering which wire on the pump is the power wire? I've been searching and searching and have come up with many different answers. Some people say its the Black wire, some say Black/red, and so forth.
Can anyone clear it up for me? Thanks

Also, I unclipped the plug from the fuel pump because i was examining the wires and I accidently forgot to plug it in and started the car. I tried starting the car, but then i remembered that i forgot to plug it back in. After it was plugged back in, I started the car and it gave me a CEL.
Am i supposed to get a CEL if the fuel pump is not connected?

Thanks for helping out a n00b

Not sure about the Cel, but there is a green plug on the passenger side near the ECU which you can put the fuel pump kill switch on. TurboXS's Stage 4 instructions show how to disconnect this to disable the fuel pump and bleed pressure off of the fuel lines.

FWIW, I didn't get any Cel both times I disconnected the fuel pump (once for fuel pump and once for rails/injectors).

Do you know what the Cel is?

Good luck.
