Fuel Pump issue?

Well i was going to the mall earlier today and i got off the freeway and my car just seem like its stalled out because the rpm went to 0 and my power steering turned off so i decided to pull over to the side. I tried to start it again but nothing. Then I realized that when i try to turn it on, I don't hear the fuel pump winding like you should. I try to turn on the car and nothing. I finally got a tow truck to tow my car back home to try to resolve this. Anyone have any ideas?

I have a walbro fuel pump that was installed 3-4 months ago. but recent had it protuned at GST.

Car was running great, just all of a sudden today it decided to crap out on me.
Any help would be great. thanx!

Just figured it out..the #11 Fuse blew. It was a 15A fuse. I put in another one and try starting it again and it blew again. then i put in a 20A fuse and finally it got it started. Thanks tho.

Changing to a higher amperage fuse is not a fix. If the 15A fuse was blowing, there's a reason for it. Trace down the wiring off that fuse and see if you have a short somewhere.

The fuse is a safety device, designed to blow before something more serious happens. You could end up with an electrical fire.

Trace the wires back first. You could have nicked one during a stereo or other mod install. The other possibility is the wires on the fuel pump itself. I really doubt the relay is the issue.

Then it may not be a fuel pump issue.

Do you have an alarm system? If so, what kind?

Check the wiring for the ignition kill. They probably put your brain above the steering column or behind the glovebox. If you have remote start, check that wiring as well.
