fart can on wrx

One of my fellow rex owners has a fart can on his wrx. He also has other things like a gutted uppie, dp, and some weird wastegate thing. Anyway, when he just had on the fart can it sounded really good (to me at least), so I want a f can on mine too. Does it really matter what kind of muffler you're putting on if that's all youre putting on? i.e. does it really make that much of a difference in sound? Thanks.

I'll sell you my fart can, its a full 3" Blitz Nur-Spec R axle back and if you dont use the silencer it's as loud as a ****. Here is a link with more info and pic's https://www.i-club.com/forums/used-aftermarket-car-parts-sale-99/full-3-blitz-nur-spec-r-axle-back-78556/.

Here is some info on tip size, HP increases and sound levels on different cat backs http://www.mattrandolph.com/wrx/cat-...omparisons.htm http://www.turbomagazine.com/tech/02...ust/index.html. What I'm selling isnt a cat back but it is the axle back portion of the Blitz catback. Of the brands listed the Blitz has the biggest tip, the largest hp increase and it is also the loudest at idle.

These comparisons are fairly old and there are other options out there.

I think it's one of the sweetest cat-backs I've heard! And it was cheap, freakin e-bay, who cares!

Apex-N1 would not be what you want if you want a fart can, its only raspy on hondas, coupled with a perrin catted downpipe its the signature boxer sound, but before the downpipe it was really quite quiet.
