Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Is this a factory part or aftermarket?

Question Is this a factory part or aftermarket?

I saw this on Nasioc. It looks to be a cover over the uppipe O2 sensor wires. What is this cover over the wires behind the airbox? Where can I get one of those for my 2004? Did this come standard on the bugeyes or is this an aftermarket piece?

Thanks!

Rob

Ok, second question then...does anyone know if the bracket is different between the 02-03 cars versus the 04+ cars, that would cause this part not to bolt up? I'm not afraid of modding and drilling, but if it bolted up...that much better.

Thanks!

I'm not sure if it's different between 02-03 and 03-04. On mine, there are two metal brackets that the plastic cover attaches to. I believe the brackets are attached directly to the engine bay right there on the strut tower.

i believe they changed the design in that area. 2004+ models do not have that cover. it was a "bugeye" thing.

ive compared that to my 05 from my boys 02 and it wont fit. at least not that i found. the brackets are completely different. i personally think it would have to be modded.

You actually tried swapping brackets or just compared the brackets? Are the mounting holes the same on the frame for the brackets?

Thanks for checking it out...

i didnt physically try it. i used the untrained eye. in comparing the two it didnt look like it would work. i hope it does. if it does, let me know. i like it too but i dont have the time like i used to to play around with mods like that.
