Hi, sorry if this has been posted a million times before,
I want to do some research over the next 2 months or so and then decide on a turbo-back exhaust. My car is stock, aside from the silencer being removed. I have heard over and over that the best mod to make is the exhaust system.
my concerns:
1. Quality/longevity. I don't want to invest in a kit that fits poorly, rusts, has exhaust leaks at flanges....basically i want to install it and forget it (aside from the performance).
2. Sound level. I do not want a overly-loud and thrashy sounding muffler. I was able to hear the Prodrive PPP WRX with the Prodrive system and its noise level was fine, aggressive but not annoying (I am considering the Prodrive exhaust if it meets my longevity & fit issues).
3. No Coffee can tips.
4. A decent performance increase.
Any insight you can share would be appreciated!!!
Thank You!

APEXi WS.
The prodrive unit is nice. its only an axel back (which is adequate) but it is overpriced.
Overall, you'd get more power from a cat-back and the APEXi WS is also quiet, but being that you get more, it retails for more than the prodrive. (which is HIGHLY overpriced, but is still cheaper than a catback, so many choose that over a catback cuz they are spending less, even if they're getting less)
Anyways, choose wisely... keep in mind that you can go to a muffler shop and get a set-up like prodrive for only a lil over $100 and it would sound just as good. To get something like the APEXi WS, it would cost about as much, if not more... and it probably wont sound as good.

MRT is nice, so is the TXS. Lots of money, but if you got it, then why not. The HKS downpipe mated to the stock cat-back usually makes a lot of people happy. Its quiet, yet aggressive... and most importantly, it makes a BIG DIFFERENCE in power for a small price. I always recommend that people get the up-pipe and downpipe because its the best bang for buck mods where the car still remains very quiet and stock looking. But for those who want noise, a cat back is the choice.
