exhaust question
i recently had a newer engine istalled in my car cause my heads were cracked and it was cheaper buying a newer motor than two heads, but my question is, my dad took all my stock exhaust components down to the mechanic cause he wants it all "smog" legal, but before that happened i was running an up, tbe and cobb stage 1, but i convinced the guy to just put the stock down pipe back on, am i going to run in to any problems with my aftermarket up still there and the aftermarket exhaust from the downpipe back?? sorry for the long writing
actually... You might not pass smog with that uppipe. So if you wanted to be smog legal you might as well put back on the uppipe, and take off the Cobb stage two. The aftermarket exhaust is fine

the cobb needs to be completely unmarried from the car or go to the stock map cobb gives you. the up pipe will not affect emissions.. my car passed with flying color with the helix flex up pipe and a 3' custom Cat back exhaust

Yea unless your smog tech is knowlegeable on subarus and looks for the up pipe you can leave the catless in there. I have heard of people getting the flex up pipe "I forget the brand name" and if te tech asks you can tell him the flex joint is the cat, they usually buy it. Also just get a high flow catted dp it will pass as well probably. If it doesnt the DP is easy to change.
