ok so i was planning on getting the Invidia Turboback but i have been ready alot of post on people getting pulled over because of exhaust so now im thinking this might be one of those exhaust that is to big and loud and i might get stopped for it, is this true? so im now considering something like the MRT turbo back or like the stromung turboback, or the Borla XR-1 any opions?

I had the magnaflow muffler right before i swapped it with my prodrive. The prodrive is quieter, but the magnaflow isn't too loud. You definitely hear the rumble more from the cabin with the magnaflow. I have the highflow cat though, so that may change it a bit.

Just dont do apexi or HKS haha. Im thinking of putting on the new greddy full titanium. its not too loud about 99 dbs throughout the full rpm range which is 4 under the first two.

I live in San Francisco and have a friend who is a cop. She said they profile cars based on the looks of the car. Very rare do they pull it over for sound, unless it is extremly obvious.
If you have a muffler that looks like a coffee can, a after market wing, bling-bling wheels, lowered, pillar gauge pods, and some stickers on it - then you meet the profile and are probably going to be pulled over. The more rice - they higher the chance of getting pulled over.
I mentioned "looking rice" and she laughed. She has never heard it called "looking rice". I asked is she heard of a rice burner, of course but that just referred to a japanese car, but she has not heard it used in years.
One of her profilers said if it looks like it belongs in the movie Fast and the Furious then it meets the profile. She watched the movie, just to see what she should be looking for.
She has never pulled over a car just because of a muffler, but she (like everyone else) does notice a BIG FARTY muffler.
Keep a low profile or get pulled over. Your choice. I am not for or against the law. It just how we each decide to play the game, even if the game sucks.

Another suggestion might be the MagnaFlow Ti, the sound is not as loud as people assume it to be, and the quality of it top notch. Check out three sample sound clips of our Ti system without the resonator but with the diffuser/silencer installed. http://www.magnaflow.com/04sound/import.htm

whats that exhaust?
what is that exhaust that you cannot see from outside, its kinda hidden in the rear bumper, i just saw a wrx 5 door, it sounds amazing, i was jealous, even though i have turbo back HKS hi-power, you can hear the explosions and its more of a "treble ly" (how ever u spell that) sound rather than a bass sound.

well now im starting to like the turboxs catless turbo back.. or the Borla 3" cat back with a DP which system to get? im really having trouble deciding, lol
