Espelir JGT500 vs. RSR exmag GT2
Espelir JGT500 vs. RSR exmag GT2
I have been looking online for specs on two exhausts for my car. They are the Espelir JGT500 and the RSR exmag GT2. I cannot find anything on them as they are newer exhausts. They are both nice looking. Can anyone here give me some information on these catbacks? I am trying to get info on them so I can compare and decide. I am hoping someone has some information on them or has one to tell me about it because I am ordering one soon. Anything you guys have, pics, movies, soundclips, dynocharts, reviews, etc.. would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

Why not go
with an exhaust that's been dyno tested and is proven. Most exhausts "look nice". Most are more worried about performance.

oldmansan, Are you trying to say I am ricey? Why do you think I am on here asking about these? Try reading the post twice and understand it before replying. Notice that in the post I asked for any kind of information i.e, dyno charts, pics, movies etc etc etc. Have you seen both exhausts? Well if you get the chance try it. You'll see what I mean by "nice looking". They welds are absolutely perfect on the RSR. There is one bend in the whole system. Thats what I mean by nice looking. If I wanted a nice looking exhaust, I would probably just go and get a Universal Muffler and have it hung. All catbacks are proven to be better performance wise some more than others. Regardless, you wont notice much if any hp on the seat of your pants. Besides, I dont want to be like most everyone else out there and go get something just because everyone thinks its cool. I didn't get on here asking for anyones opinion just asking if they knew anything about it. I have seen these two exhausts in Super Street on cars that were featured in the magazine. Other than that I have not met anyone on here or fanatics that has either one or has even heard of them. If I wanted to be like everyone else, I would have gotten the HKS CF Titanium.

Here's a nice Greddy for $30.

Better hurry. At that price it won't last long.

You're looking for
pics, movies, soundclips, dynocharts, reviews, of a "newer" exhaust. Never heard of either. Don't believe I said "ricer", that was your input. Personally I could care less how many people have my same exhaust, as long as it provides great performance. As for your attitude, whatever.

Well obviously oldmansan, I took what you said the wrong way. You have my apology. The reason I got so "huffy puffy" as steppin razor puts it is because I thought you were a bit judgmental on my post and for those of you that think that I was knocking anyones ride or choice of exhaust, I'm not. I said that if I wanted to be like everyone else, I would get the HKS when I said that I meant that I want to be different than most people. HKS made a good design and a lot of people liked it. I do too but I want something different. I am sorry that I offended you guys. Yes I did ask about dyno charts, pics, etc.... Some people know of the right places to look. I just needed some information thats all and as far as the 30 dollar Greddy, no thanks you found it so I will let you have it.
Where can I check them out? I have heard of both of them but haven't come across them on any of the sites I have been on. I am from Pennsylvania so there isn't much over here besides aluminum wings and APC. I am envious of you guys that are from Cali. I have actually thought about coming to Cali to see what the REAL import scene is all about. There are so many exhausts out there for rex's I dunno which one to get thats why I have been trying to find specs and any information I can find for them. Anything you could do would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
i like my exhaust, hks carbon Ti, some people think it's bling bling for the carbon fiber to be on the canister, but i got mines used, u can always buy the same thing without carbon fiber wrapped on the exhuast.

Cheez, nobody's heard of the RS*R Ex-Mag GT2 or the Espelir JGTC500?! Guess I'm truly a JDM *****
Anyhow, here's my stab at answering your query: the RS*R Ex-Mag GT2 is an excellent, very high-power exhaust system. It's quite handsome to boot. However, it's loud as hell and there are fitment issues to the USDM stock downpipe if you buy the Ex-Mag catback.
The Espelir JGTC500 is fairly new. I've heard of it but to be honest don't know to much about it other than the fact that it's meant for the circuit.
If you're running a stock motor, these two exhausts may be a little out of your league unless you plan on major power upgrades in the near future. Same goes for the Kakimoto GT1.0Z and the Fujitsubo Legalis R, and I'd venture to say the Apex'i GT-Spec.
You may want to consider the HKS Hi-Power in stainless steel (highest torque catback) or the Blitz Nur-spec (highest horsepower catback). If you want something more exotic, consider the Fujitsubo Power Getter or the RM-01A. Also, have a look at the Kakimoto N-1.
The import scene here in Cali and Hawaii is nice, but nothing beats going to the source. Go to Japan, my friend, it's a real eye-opening experience. You should try purchasing an issue of Option Magazine even if you can't read Japanese: the pictures will astound you. Or you can PM me and I'll translate for you
