Error Code 66 Heeeelp!!!
I have a 1996 Legacy GT. (BG Rev B, EJ20, Twin Turbo, 5spd).
It has an E66. which we simply can't track down. I have been tryign to fix this now for nearly 6 months! I now refer to dropping the car at the mechanic as "taking by baby to day-care".
Generally (for my model) an E66 is caused by vaccum leaks, either in the vaccum lines or the vaccum canister itself.
My mechanic has extensively tested each of the vacuum components, looking for leaks with no luck.
We can't find an obviously faulty part, and are now working through substituting parts until we find the guilty party.
Swapped vaccum box. No joy. Swapped back.
Swapped computer. No Joy. Swapped back.
Replaced MAP sensor. No joy.
Replaced 02 Sensor No Joy.
The Primary turbo bleed valve/solenoid thingey has been tested as ok.
Now what? What could it be? What have we missed?
The 'swapping bits till we find it' approach is infuritating. Not to mention getting expensive.
Has anybody got any ideas of what we could reasonably expect to be the guilty party? Or a clear diagnostic path to isolate the error?

Sorry but most of us reading this are in the US where we've never seen your particular car and also our factory engine management is different. We have OBDII on anything '96 and newer and the diagnostic codes are completely different.
So, an E66 really doesn't mean anything here.
Perhaps someone familar with the car will post here, there are probably a few other members lurking about in your part of the world although the vast majority are in the US/Canada.
