Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

enough with the crank pullies

for the record, they've been laughed out of every other import scene a long time ago.

They add 1-2 horsepower on real world, not company dynos, they underdrive components, are a ***** to install, and race teams refuse to use them because they feel that they unbalance crank harmonic characteristics which may lead to premature failures.

Just figured I'd let you know what everyone else has already figured out... they're not worth the money or the pita.

Well, I hope you don't feel too comfotable on your high horse because the perrin pulley is not an underdrive pulley. It removes mass and maintains its size. This is as opposed to the AEM under drive pulley set. The Perrin pulley is also not under a claim to add horsepower, but I suspsect it has a bit of a similar effect as using a lightened flywheel - less rotational mass gives a bit better throttle response and accelleration. And similar to a lightened flywheel, you have to get used to it or you can stall, just like the guy on the other thread said happened to him.

I guess im just abit sick of half the threads in this forum being "WHICH CAI IS BEST!?" and "perrin underdrive pulley worth the money?". Granted the rex has only been out for a few years, but I'm in a hurry for the scene to catch up technicly (as a whole, I realize theres people out there doing good stuff)
