Most car detailing shops and everything I've read in the past 32 years says to cover vital electronics with plastic wrap. I'm sure brand new most things are sealed very well but time and heat tend to destroy nice water tight seals. Our engines put out plenty of heat and as for time...........3 more seconds just past, it never sleeps. It's up to you what you want to do, there's no right or wrong answer, just opinions. So do what you think is reasonalble.
