Helix downpipe question

I just recently installed the helix downpipe/uppipe combo. I'm just wondering what people have done when re-routing the hose that sits on top of the downpipe. I think it just comes from the A/C resevoir, but I'm afraid to pinch it or mess with it because of mildew problems. I noticed a silicone or plastic burning smell with my vent open while driving, It looks as though the hose is fine, but its definately getting hot.

Thanks in advance.

Are you refering to the hose coming from the firewall? If so you should be able to bend it too one side and it will be fine.

MPJ Performance:

yeah, the hose from the firewall. it has a nice sized hole in it, the dp melted it pretty good. I just pulled it to one side and zip tied it. It should work for now I doubt having the AC drain onto the downpipe will hurt anything right?

You'll be fine mate, we have seen this a fair amount and it's really no big deal. You could always shorten the vent tube as well.

From the TurboXS Site
TurboXS Exhaust Installation:
Install the TurboXS Downpipe to the turbocharger.
Relocate the rubber drain tube exiting the firewall! Remove the C clip with and move this to the adjacent hole 5" to the right. This hole is difficult to see but you can feel it with your finger.
