Engine rebuild kits (for used WRX)?

Newbie - Engine Rebuilt Kits?
I am trying to purchase a WRX, but can seem to only afford one with miles in the 80-100K miles on it.
I was wondering if I do get the car if I should do an engine rebuild?
Does anyone know of some inexpensive engine rebuild kits I could look up?
What's the general price range to have an engine rebuild done by a shop?
Should I also get a tranny rebuild or not?
