ok every now and then when im at a red light and im in first gear I get to a rolling start (no clutch dump nothing stupid) an i slam the gas pedal and around 5k rpm its like everything seizes up like i stomp on the brakes or something... then it picks back up after the seize and everything is fine through the rest of my gears. i figured it could possibly be varnish so i changed the fuel filter (which was very dirty) and used some fuel injector cleaner. this seemed to smooth out everything but it still seizes up occasionally. im just trying to figure out what it is before something brakes cuz its pretty rough. im thinking it could still be some crud stuck in the fuel line..car sat for about 1.5 years finally got around to doing and engine/tranny swap.

 

your injectors are dirty, get some fuel injector cleaner in there man

fuel injector cleaner would unplug an injector right? and if it were an injector problem i would think a CEL would have thrown by now. BUTTT peak fuel flow(boost) on an 03 wrx is around 5k am i right? sooo im hoping its just residue from sitting up for so long

 

fuel pump went out....problem solved lol
