Question Electronic Boost Controllers

I am looking at getting a boost controller and did not know if there is a better one or not. I see that HKS, Greddy, Apexi, and Blitz all have them. Does anyone know if one is better then the other. Do any of them have turbo timers built in? Any advice would be great. Thank You

I have the Blitz SBC-id in my WRX and I haven't had any complaints out of it! It is compact and when paired with the Power Meter it has a whole world of options that open up! For more info go to www.blitz-na.com and go under products.

Let me know if I can be of any help when you decide which one to get. They all do basically the same function...just some have a little more features then the others. I can get them all for you though.

Thanks,
Brian

The alternative to the SBC-iD is the DSBC Spec-R. Its what I have Its got the same dual solenoid as the iD although it lacks a few features (as well as no connectivitg to the Power-iD). But the only really BC functionality it lacks is that you only can set one gain, where on the iD you can individual gains for all four boost settings.

I've your not looking to have the most of the best and every feature, the Spec-R is a great compromise and prolly the best bang for the buck.

I have the Apexi AVC-R and love it. It is great because you can change the Duty to make a great power curve. The best thing is , is that it hold boost tell redline. If you have the money get a UTEC, but this is a nice alternative for some safe hp as long as you dont take the fuel cut defender off.
