so, i wanna throw an atmospheric dump valve on my WRX, whats' the best one to get. and is there anything else i should change at the same time??? or is it ok just to change the dump valve and leave it at that???? later, riggs

We have Sequential Blow Off Valves for WRX in stock. The BOV from AVO will not cause any check engine lights and still allow the vent to atmosphere sound you are looking for. You may also consider getting a short ram intake. That will provide lots of cool turbo sounds and gain a couple HP.

i've looked at HKS and Blitz blowoffs.......which would you snag??

i'll ask a better question........has anyone heard the difference between a blitze and HKS dump valve?????? from what i've been told the blitz dump valve makes more noise.

 

If you want loud get the TurboXS RFL.
The HKS has a good sound.
I have the SARD R2D2 and have had no problems (you get multiple sounds with this unit)- good luck finding one though, I had mine imported from Malaysia.

 

does the turboXS or Blitz BOV cause any problems after they have been installed......ie........low idle, check engine lights, things like that????

 

No effect on idle. In theory it could cause a false CEL, but I have not heard of anyone with this problem. I've had my SARD installed for months with no problems.

 

i ordered a GFB hybrid since my engine is still stock for now.....and i do mean for now. i'm gonna snag an exhaust and downpipe next......after that......what should i look into next for engine mods.....i got the cashish to blow this thing out. any suggestions?????

 

Aftermarket ECU (UTEC, XEDE, TECIII, AEM, etc.) would probably be your best mod after that for power. An up-pipe is another good cheap mod. After that you will need to get upgraded injectors/fuel pump before you go much farther. After than a bigger turbo (depending on your power goals) a larger top mount or front mount intercooler, perhaps a water sprayer.

Don't forget about suspension/tires and brakes while you are adding all that power. The stock tires are especially pathetic.
