downpipes

i have a 02 4eat wrx and i've been reading up on downpipes and up pipes for them and some say that some downpipes won't fit right. so can anyone tell me which downpipes and up pipes will fit without any problems. i was set on the helix set from gruppe-s but i just want to make sure they fit first before i get them.

I'm not totally sure about the Helix fitment on a 4EAT, but I've got Helix up and down on my 5mt and I love the setup. If they'll fit the auto, definetely get them.

i've seen a Helix go into a automatic WRX and not bang on the tranny.

I have an 03 4eat and with the Helix downpipe. It fits pretty snug next to the tranny and if I go over any hard bumps sometimes it hits a little on the tranny, but other than that it fits nicely. Also there is a little hose that hangs down next to the turbo (not really sure what it is) and you are going to want to put some heat wrap around it because otherwise it will touch the dp and will melt. Hope this helps!

Or you can just cut the hose off like I did. I'm pretty sure that it's just a dump hose for the AC or something.

Yeah, Helix is awesome. You can get a good deal from Mike over at MPJ on a combo.

Thats what we were gonna do, but I wasn't sure what it was used for, lol.
