Actually I recently purchased a Stromung downpipe to go with my Borla hush. I am going to leave the 3rd cat in tact now but maybe replace it with a high flow cat in the summer. CobbTuning has a great downpipe that replaces the 3rd cat section as well. It comes with or without a high flow cat. I chose the Stromung b/c it is a wastegate, only $190 shipped and I can have a cat for the meantime until I decide if I want to change it. In my opinion, keep a cat or purchase a high flow cat. It will not be too loud and it will not smell like rotten eggs. You can get the same HP out of a high flow catpipe as a pipe without a cat. But that is my opinion. If you want, e-mail me and I'll tell you how it is after install.
The new Cobb downpipe also fits the stock/Borla flange.
I actually have the same situation. However, I've already purchased the Helix downpipe. I'm going to have to have a muffler shop weld a flat flange to the end of my Borla cat-back.

Hi. I'm currently running Borla Hush with Helix DP. I got the Borla hush since I couldn't bear the sound of my old Vishnu catless sig. series exhaust. I have a wagon so I think that makes it worse.
Anyway, I found out the Hush isn't so hush when running catless (Helix DP has no cats), although it is better than my old Vishnu setup. I'm now planning on getting the catted DP and 3rd cat eliminator from Daddy's SCP (http://www.daddysscp.com). The 3rd cat eliminator is basically a fake cat, which I'm hoping will pass my smog visual later. It actually uses a stock-like donut gasket, so it should fit well with the hush. I don't like having the hush mate with Helix (my current setup) since there's no flex joint to relieve the stress. Not to mention if you want a true 3in turbo back, you need to fabricate your own slip joint.
Just my 2c.
