Dog without a cause, where to start looking?
My 05 4eat has always been a little... special.
AP stage 1, 0-60 from a stop (no brake stand) was around 12 seconds.
At stage 2, w/ots map, I made 157 whp and ran mid 15s.
After a custom tune, I got it as fast as 14.2 if I really wailed on the transmission.
But...
Long story short, the car is stock again (Aside from a torque converter.)
It gets decent gas mileage (20-22mpg combined) and idles and runs really smoothly.
Currently, It takes between 9-10 seconds to go from 0-60. This is a figure on a stopwatch on level ground. mashing the gas and go.
I understand this is really, really bad.
I'm not sure where to start looking. Is this normal for a 4eat? I would expect that there should be some other symptoms.
Idle is smooth
Gas mileage is correct for the car
Compression test was done a while ago
Boost hits around 14psi at full out, no signs of spiking
The car is slower than a minivan hauling a cement mixer until about 26 mph. After that, it's OK.

I'm using a cheap gauge, but it generally agreed with the accessport I used to have.
It will hover around 14 at full song.

Oh yeah. Lots of times.
It's actually a lot better with the Cobb "stock" unmarried map than it was with the original map. Go figure.
Maybe when I have my wheelbearings done I might have it data logged, or something.

Did you know that putting the 4eat in 3 rather than D makes a huge difference in responsiveness and a good difference in the way the power feels?
I just learned that today, accidentally.
its awesome!
the car is still slow
i should mention that everything seemed fine until i got my remote start installed. They blew my ignition fuse, but it was replaced. And no CELS ever as a result.
i almost forgot that
