VF30 is an IHI turbo will reasonable spool, and ability to make good power. The price is reasonable also. The SR30 is an offering from APS out of Austraila. It is a ball bearing Garret turbo that spools quickly and can make probably even more power than the VF30. What little I've read is that it's a really nice turbo, but the price is $1500 or more. I read a short review that said the SR was worth the extra money.

The sr30 will hold boost longer and more reliable.
IHI turbos have been known to disintergrate intake fins at high boost and high rpms.
The sr30 costs alittle more but the chances of it breaking are minimal.
