Cold air intake ?

Aftermarket intakes have a tendency to lean out the motor. Bad juju. And since it has a cold air intake already, you lose power by switching to a cheap open air filter, and gain almost nothing by going to the expensive true cold air units. Just go with a high flow filter until you upgrade to the point of needing engine management. Then an intake might be worth it, but even then, it's minimal. You don't even gain all that much sound-wise, since the compressor wheel is still in the way of it.

yeah dooood, BANSUV knows whats up. although i have no personal experience with this, i have read it on several sites and they all propose the same argument - running a CAI leans out the A/F ratio which isnt all that inherently bad, but if nothing else, a waste of bank. wait till u upgrade the chip to mess with the intake. btw - my friend threw in an open-element intake on his Mitsu GST and swears he lost cavalry, which concurs with much i have read about open element filters, turbos, and hp...
