My friend has had the same problem. First he put on the Scoobysport uppipe, downpipe, and CEL fix. He got a CEL soon after. He had the dealer replace the EGT sensor. It went off and came back a few weeks later. Dealer couldn't figure out what was wrong. He had the Cobb stage 2 reflash and Cobb told him the CEL wouldn't come back. A couple weeks later, back again. Cobb told him they could make it so the light would never come on for that code. But he declined. Now I guess he just drives around with the CEL on all the time.

 

This is why I am very hesiatent (spelling?) to get an up or down pipe. Everytime I read anything about them I hear about all kinds of CEL problems.

 

On the other hand, I bought a Stromung downpipe, Godspeed uppipe, and Pony Express MIL eliminator around the same time as my friend. I installed all at the same time and never got any CELs. Later, I switched the downpipe for a Vishnu signature series turboback. Still no CEL. Then I had my Cobb stage 2 reflash. I have never had a CEL on my WRX.

 

i guess im lucky.... i have an hks up pipe, dp, and catback but no cel.... its been about 1k miles since i had them... is it okay if i havent got any CEL yet?

 

I've had my stuff on for about 10k miles or more with no CELs.

 

Because a MILL Eliminator eliminates your CEL right?

 

Probably so. But, my friend has the Scoobysport CEL fix and he's had nothing but problems.
