check engine light
go to www.gruppe-s.com and get the CEL fix for the downpipe. the light is due to your downpipe's o2 sensor freaking out. the CEL fix tricks it into thinking it's OK.

Do a search on here for cel fix's. There are elctrical and mechanical fixes. I have the mechanical and it works great. No cutting or splicing

i have had the same prob first with the cat back and that was because my dumb a$$ did not reset the ecu right after good rule of thumb reset ecu after every mod. as far as cell fix for your o2 sensor the gruppe-s cell fix is the best IMO and cheepest electronic fix i have found. oh yes and to reset your ecu disconnect the negative batt. cable and pump the brakes a few times and bingo your ecu is reset.

i installed a catback exhaust and now my CEL is tripping out. Lol. thing goes on and off all the time... i just have to reset my ECU? is it seriously that easy to do?
wait. i thought our ECUs learn from the way we drive. sigh, that means a couple hard runs....

A catback alone should not cause a CEL. You should get the code read to see what it is so you can proceed accordingly.
Even if you don't do a reset, the ECU is constantly learning, so if it needs to adapt to any mods it will do so on its own eventually.
