ok what gives? my car keeps throwing codes for misfires on different cylinders. i've tried running a couple gallons of 100 mixed with our crap 91 here in cali but still codes. i have tried to contact vishnu but i don't really have much time right now to get it on the dyno. so any suggestions would be great...

misfire means that the gas is not igniting. Therefore, why put higher octane which is harder to ignite? With 60k, I'd say get a new set of plugs.

wouldnt higher octane be easier to ignite, its more flamable, so that means it needs less spark to ignite it... just a thought...

Alittle info on higher octane. Hope you don't mind me quoting you, WW. I just thought this to be a good insight on the subject. It helped me to understand, anyways!
