I just installed the perrin up-pipe and MadDad V2 downpipe with high flow cat.

I keep getting the check engine light. How can I fix this?
I know I can buy a check engine light fix off subydude.

what could be causing my CEL?

Can you get someone to read the trouble code for you? If you've installed the EGT (exhaust gas temperature) sensor back into the Perrin uppipe, I would not expect the CEL to be generated from that source, but some subie owners go ahead and install the resistor CEL fix for the uppipe to avoid future problems when the sensor eventually fails.

You may be getting the P0420 trouble code (and you'll know for sure when the code is read) for an aftermarket downpipe. Here is a thread that describes the electrical and mechanical fixes. Scoobymods.com shows the mechanical fix.

There may be more threads on i-Club but I just took the first results that showed up from a quick forum Search.
