ive got a 2002 wrx wagon and every time i come close..around 6.5..to redline but not going over in positive ..the light comes of then goes out a while later.no symptoms.anyone else have the same problem?

 

You need to get the code pulled. If i would guess i would say camshaft position sensor, or miss fire. No one is going to be able to tell you much unless you find out what code it is.

 

my guess is camshaft position sensor also.
that was my problem for like forever lol once i switched to the cobb stage 2 map and got a protune it didn't show up though.
