Catback and DP question
At the moment I am running a straight pipe for a catback and wanted to get a DP but i know that it would be way too loud. My question is, how much louder do catbacks get with a downpipe on them. In other words, with a hush catback, if you were to also install a DP would it make the hush a lot louder? Also, if it is too loud to go with an aftermarket catback and a DP, is it beneficial at all to run an aftermarket DP with a stock catback? I would like to be heard but not attract unwanted attention like cops. I also like the sound that comes from the straight pipe and was wondering which catback would most likely have a similar sound. Thanks for your help.

how loud is that going to be? i would rather it be pretty quiet at idle but when im at full throttle id like it to be loud, so this setup should do that?
louder than the stock catback but,has a nice growl to it.
If you are looking for something quiet than the Borla
hush catback will be idea for you.
For the downpipe I would go with the Cobb downpipe
because of it's top notch quality and sound.
Does anyone have any sound clips of the Borla
hush catback for him?

Straight pipe catback + catless dp = super loud at WOT and at cold idle.
Should be fairly quiet at warm idle/neutral though.
Just think of the way your straight pipe behaves now, then imagine all the loud parts as being even louder and with that distinct turbo hiss.

a catted downpipe.
Yes,you can purchase the Cobb downpipe catted and catless.
Going catted will of course bring the noise level down.
Their is alot of good reputable vendors to purchase your
exhaust from on this site!
I always support this great site whenever possible though.
