Don't mess with the greddy type-s. I traded my hks for the type-s. When I got it it was brand new. When I installed it it wouldn't work and I got serious compressor stall. I had to throw the stocker back on. Trading bov's was one of the worst ideas I've had. Get the hks or the blitz you'll like em.

Yeah the GReddy BOV is horrible. Some guy brought it in and insisted that it be put on his EVO with a ton of other parts. When it was installed, the car idled badly and stalled constantly. There was the "Wooo woo woo..." sound too that could be the racing wastegate or it could be compressor surge... hmm

yah i've had it on for a while and didn't have any problems with it...maybe you guys adjusted it too soft...that's why the idle was off...and if you have stalling problems, then just tighten it a little more
I had the Greddy Type-S on my old turbo civic and it worked great. Held boost all the way up to 22 psi and could've held more. I don't think there's anything wrong with the unit, just maybe the way you calibrated it.

slightly off topic but what do you do with the return line after installing a atmospheric BOV instead of a DV?

the BOV should come with a plug. Just plug the return line and clamp it.

My advice is to stay away from any bov that uses a diaphram as a seal.
