Bov ??

I bought a 02 bugeye and now im lookin to upgrade the power. So im lookin to gettin the COBB stage 2 package. And I really want to upgrade the BOV. the louder the better. But will it kill my performance with a aftermarket BOV? Also whats a good BOV to get?

stock bpv, your car will run like *** with an aftermarket bov without proper mods and tune. Also, stock airbox is perfect until you reach about 300awhp or go FMIC.

i bought my 03 bugeye in march. it came with a hks bov. ya ya ya it sounded cool, but didn't do anything for me. after i bought my up pipe n full turbo back exhaust, it started releasing out white smoke from my tailpipe. it was doing that only when idling at a light. removed bov now its running great. no i don't have a head-gasket blown nothing was wrong with my car. like the other guy said, you don't need one till the 300whp range. im running cobb ap stg 2, with the perrin up pipe, perrin down-pipe, and greddy turbo-back. but i will need a bov once the vf39 goes in

You still don't need a BOV, you can crush the stocker or buy an aftermarket Recirc bov and still push 20+ psi of boost. Going FMIC with blow thru MAF is really the only good way to run an atmospheric BOV, IMHO.
