14.5 is fine. But it is still possible to damage your motor. I'm running 15.5 without problems, and I know there are alot of people running higher. Just depends on how you treat your car.

No engine management? Your MBC is going to cause partial throttle boost issues your stock ECU won't be able to handle. Not enough fueling resulting in high EGT's and possible knock.
