Bigger TMIC= need a tune?
Hey all,
Getting ready to put a bigger Top Mount on.
Do I need to get a tune? I do plan on getting a tune soon after.
I'm having a Turbo, injectors etc on, and will get a pro tune.
But will driving the car between the installation of the TMIC and the time the turbo and other parts go in going to hurt the car (roughly a week or so)?
Thanks all,
Tizzo27

A tune is always good to get with every mod you get. Get more power and whp out of your mods, I always tune when I get new mods.

You'll be fine driving like that, but why are you doing it?
If you're having a shop install your turbo and injectors, they'll have to remove the TMIC anyway so it really shouldn't cost anything extra to have them install it with the rest of the parts.

You mite as well just wait and have your TMIC installed
at the same time as your turbo, injectors, etc. because they
will have to take the TMIC off anyways.
Personaly I wouldn't run the risk running a bigger TMIC
without being tuned not worth it.

but its an apv2, which basically flashes ur ecu w/out a protune/dyno tune and it will allow for less lean or rich air/fuel ratios. if i had 5hundo for one id swoooooop to install my up/dp and tmic and not have it slowly eat my rings and valves away.
