stay where you are. i had a automatic wrx and went from stock to a vf34 setup. the lag was about the same. after a while, i kept my full exhaust and went back to the stock turbo. spool up was a heck of a lot quicker, and i only lost about 30whp.

0-60 times will be about the same with either turbo. the vf34 won't outrun the stock turbo until about 50mph, but the stock turbo will get you there a hell of a lot quicker.

I just had a VF30 put in and it's fantastic. Yeah, the lag does suck.

I have the COBB stage 2.5 with a front mount. I pretty much have all the basic bolt-ons. I've never dynoed my car but it pulls very hard after 3800RPMS.

Hey, I'm allowed to make fun, my 01 RS is a 4EAT. Personally, I would look at valvebody upgrades and whatnot, to make sure that any extra power that you make is put to the ground. Upgrades on a 4EAT car just don't have the same impact as on a manual tranny car, since the transmission is designed for a specific torque curve.

Just a thought.
